2018 Educational Program

“Collaboration: Key to Advancing Healthcare”

Program Description:  Collaboration among various stakeholders in healthcare is critical in addressing social determinants of health that are largely responsible for longstanding disparities in health across population groups.  This program focuses on population health promotion through collaborative leadership strategies in education, research, practice and policy development.  Experts provide exemplars of collaborative approaches to advance health of populations.

Educational Program is awarded 4.8 Contact Hours by the California State Board of Registered Nursing.

This educational activity is provided by the University of the Philippines International Nursing and Healthcare Forum (UPINHF), an accredited provider of Continuing Education by the California Board of Registered Nursing CE Provider Number 16871.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss the significance of collaborative leadership in the current context of nursing and health care.
2. Describe effective collaborative practices in different sectors of nursing and health care.
3. Advocate for the development and implementation of collaborative leadership practices among the diverse nursing workforce through interprofessional education.
